MediaLaws, DICOPO and DIGICON are delighted to invite you to a Digital Constitutionalism Roundtable, which will take place online on Tuesday, 20 January, at 5:00 PM.
The webinar is entitled ‘Who Controls the News in the Age of AI? Journalism, Platforms and Democracy’ and it will examine the relationship between AI and journalism. Particular attention will be given to current regulatory and institutional developments, regarding for instance Google’s AI Overview service, as it offers a concrete reference point for discussing platform power.
The event, chaired by Oreste Pollicino, will bring together academia and civil society, including Maria Luisa Stasi (Article 19), Barbara Da Rosa Lazarotto (Vrije Universiteit Brussels), Iva Nenadic (European University Institute), Francesca Festa (Sphera Network), and João Pedro Quintais (University of Amsterdam).
