MediaLaws is pleased to share the Call for Papers for the 2026 ELU-S Conference, whose theme is “Words or Deeds? The European Moment”. The conference is organised by the European Law Unbound Society (ELU-S) and will be hosted by the Católica Faculdade de Direito (Escola de Lisboa) and the Católica Global School of Law from 1–3 September 2026.

The conference invites contributions that critically explore any area of European law from any perspective, including private law, constitutional law, economic law, criminal law, social law, or other related fields. Five types of submissions are accepted, all connected to the conference theme: fully formed panels, roundtable discussions, author-meets-reader sessions, innovative format sessions, and individual papers.

Submissions are welcome from legal scholars and practitioners, as well as from scholars in other disciplines (such as political science, sociology, history, and philosophy) with an interest in law in Europe. Submissions from scholars at early stages of their careers and/or belonging to under-represented communities are particularly encouraged.

The deadline for paper submissions is 15 April 2026. Each submission type is subject to specific requirements, which are described on the relevant pages of the ELU-S Conference website (section “Submit your Proposals”). In general, submissions should include a title, an abstract of between 150 and 250 words, and biographical details of the participants.

Further information on the conference, including detailed instructions for submission, is available at the following link: https://europeanlawunbound.eu/call-for-panels-and-papers-2026/.
