MediaLaws is pleased to share the Call for Papers for TILTing Perspectives 2026 – Between Values and Innovation: Tech Governance in a Multicentric World, taking place on 17–19 June 2026 at Tilburg University.
TILTing Perspectives is the biennial conference organised by the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT). The 2026 edition focuses on how technological innovation can be governed in an increasingly fragmented global landscape, where digital infrastructures, AI systems, and regulatory models reflect diverse geopolitical and normative visions. The conference invites contributions examining how to safeguard democratic values, fundamental rights, and societal well-being while fostering innovation and resilience.
The conference features a Grand Track and specialised tracks on privacy, AI, IP and competition, platform governance, cybersecurity, human rights, digital sovereignty, Global South perspectives, sustainability, and related law-and-technology fields.
Submission Guidelines
The organisers welcome extended abstracts (500–1,500 words) for papers, works-in-progress, or position pieces; poster proposals; and panel/workshop proposals including a brief description and extended abstracts for each contribution. Accepted authors may be invited to submit full papers for a potential special issue.
Submissions are due via EasyChair by 11 January 2026, 23:59 CET. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 5 March 2026. The conference will take place fully in person at Tilburg University.
