MediaLaws is pleased to share the call for papers for the conference “Virtual Worlds, Real Challenges. How to govern the online public sphere?”, organized by the University of Tilburg. The event will take place on 9–10 July 2026 (hybrid format).
The event welcomes contributions from scholars, practitioners, and activists working on the governance of virtual and digital platforms. Suggested themes include public discourse, user‑centred approaches, economic and business models, privacy, and broader regulatory or governance issues.
Submissions may include posters, individual abstracts, or fully formed panels. Participation is free of charge.
